Trails of 1885 Attraction. Pivotal in history, this was a significant site of the 1885 Northwest Resistance between the Metis and the Canadian Government. Visitors can see original trenches and rifle pits, Church of St. Antoine de Padoue, rectory, Caron homestead, and archaeological remains of the village of Batoche. Renewed Visitor Centre, costumed guides, Metis art exhibit, Kids Xplorers Club, Art Kits, geocaching, cafeteria and gift shop.
