Globally important bird area features Canada's largest saline lake and endangered species. Over 1 million waterfowl, shorebirds and songbirds. Numerous viewing areas with trails, two nature centres and a large interpretive centre with theatre. Saskatchewan Birding Trail anchor site.
Interpretive Centre in Wynyard provides information on nature viewing sites, history, and folklore of the lakes/area. Maps and tourism brochures available as well as a craft shop and ecotour referral service.
The Foam Lake Visitor Centre & Nature Centre has tourist information, campsites, a golf driving range, heritage pioneer home, nature and walking trails and interpretive nature displays.
