Golf Guide

With green fees in the $40 dollar range on the upper end, sunshine-filled summers, and accessible tee-times, the word about Saskatchewan’s great golfing is spreading. Saskatchewan has more golf courses per capita than anywhere else in the world. Fairways range from RCGA-rated championship courses to family-friendly nines and can be found in a variety of magnificent settings, from prairie valleys and hilltops to aspen parkland and boreal forest.

Almost endless touring and accommodations options make planning a golf vacation in Saskatchewan a difficult task. To help golfers out, Tourism Saskatchewan, along with its industry partners, has created a new publication called The Perfect Drive. This 16-page golf vacation guide provides regionally-based touring suggestions and includes accommodations options and other helpful information for the respective areas featured.

Dakota Dunes Golf Links

Voted the best new Canadian Course of 2005 by the Golf Digest, Dakota Dunes is a world-class land-links style course that will challenge all levels of play. Located 15 minutes south of Saskatoon, the links are laid spaciously throughout natural sand dune formations and indigenous prairie grasses that surround its edges. Five tee deck yardages ranging from 5,100 to 7,300 yards ensure that whatever your ability, you will find the yardage and challenge to fit your game.

Located on the historical Whitecap Dakota First Nation lands at the heights of the South Saskatchewan River Valley Basin, Dakota Dunes Golf Links opened its golf course to the public in April, 2004. The 18-hole, full service, natural masterpiece is the Province’s only complete Graham Cooke / Cooke-Carleton designed golf property.
