Alameda by definition means "Avenue of Trees." Alameda is a family and community minded town situated in the SE corner of the province where there is an abundance of oil, water and grain. Alameda is famous for being the home of the Alameda Dam, which has turned into a full service recreational area and host to the Alameda Fishing Derby in June.
