With rolling hills to the south, the South Saskatchewan River valley to the north, and the dry desert of the Great Sandhills to the east, visitors to the community of Leader are given the opportunity to explore some of the most unique landscapes that our province has to offer. Located in the SW region of the province, Leader is located along the migratory bird flyway, the Leader Birding Trail, which provides birdwatchers the chance to view over 210 species of birds. While visting the community be sure to check out the local attractions including the Leader Wildlife Sculptures and Checkerboard Hill.
