The village of Shell Lake is a recreational paradise for the whole family. Activities in the area include miniature golf, camping, golfing, swimming, boating, hiking, cycling, canoeing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, tobogganing and more. Adjacent to the village is Memorial Lake Regional Park, which includes an 18 hole, grass greens golf course. The third weekend in July is the Annual Hey Deys weekend, full of food and fun! In August, the Thickwood Hills Studio Trail offers a self drive tour of unique artists' studios in the area.
