Village of Edam amenities: shopping, restaurant, hotel, gas station, Washbrook Museum. Picnic Lake within 8km offers camping, picnic area, swimming, boating, trout fishing. Dulwich Toboggan Hill, 11km N of Edam, features an outdoor fire pit and a fantastic toboggan hill. Historic Pine Island (a protected site), 22km NW of Edam, was the site of three houses competing for the fur trade - The Hudson Bay Company, The North West Company, and McKay & Shaw - during the 1780s.
