Andy Jamault Nature Trail and Pasquia Paleontological Site

Near Pasquia Regional Park. 15km NE of Arborfield. Nature trail starts on the E end of park.

Take "a walk back in time" on a scenic trail that follows the Carrot River to where the "Big Bert" crocodilian fossil was found inbedded in shale. Other marine-like fossils (fish, plesiosaurs, turtles) from 92 million years ago also exposed. Dickson-Hardy Interpretive Centre is now home to a permanent skeleton of Big Bert.
