27km S of Maple Creek on Hwy 21, in the Centre Block of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.

Officially designated a Dark Sky Preserve in 2004, Cypress Hills receives visitors from around the world who are amazed at the array of stars, planets and satellites that are so pronounced in the intensely black night sky. Host site of the Annual Saskatchewan Summer Star Party. New Dark Sky Observatory and Dark Sky Campground in 2011.
