Major access Hwy 35, 3km S of Wadena, then 7km W to marsh.
Designated an international shorebird reserve in 1994. Stages over 800,000 shorebirds/waterfowl annually. Supports breeding colony of white pelicans and Canada's largest population of the endangered piping plover. Interpretive signs, observation towers.
