Craven Country Jamboree 2008
The names of past performers who have appeared at the annual Craven Country Jamboree over the last 24 years reads like a who’s who of country music legends: Roy Orbison, Garth Brooks, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Big and Rich, Reba McEntire and on and on. The list is as long as a Saskatchewan gravel road.
From July 10-13, the 2008 version of this now-legendary festival will continue the tradition of great entertainment with another all-star roster, including The Oak Ridge Boys, Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Pam Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, Paul Brandt, The Gatlin Brothers and many more. Main stage performances are staggered with concerts in the beer gardens, so the music just keeps on playing.
The Craven Country Jamboree is the longest running multi-day music festival in Canada. It's held just outside the picturesque town of Craven in the heart of the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley, just 20 minutes outside Regina. Over 20,000 fans a day visit from every corner of the globe, attracted to the festival’s great music, friendly people, fun atmosphere and prairie charm.
Besides the main stage talent, there are plenty of activities like pro-bull-riding demonstrations, beach parties, and a cowboy church service. In addition to the big stars, there's plenty of local country music talent to sample as well. Main Street is here you'll find great food and souvenir shops.
