“Saskatchewan has a very vibrant and diverse culture, and a thriving arts and cultural community. Culture Days provides an ideal opportunity to highlight the many different cultural opportunities available in the province,” says Rose Gilks, SaskCulture’s General Manager and Chairperson for Culture Days in Saskatchewan. Culture Days is a collaborative, pan-Canadian initiative that aims to increase the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement by all Canadians in cultural activities in their communities. It includes all aspects of culture: arts, heritage, multicultural, ethno-cultural, First Nations and Métis culture and creative industries.

Culture Days is coming to Saskatchewan from September 24-26 and everyone is invited! Many cultural groups from around the province are already on board to offer the public free, interactive cultural activities during the week and weekend.
The province proclaimed September 20-26 as Culture Week in Saskatchewan, so the public will have the entire week to explore and learn more about cultural activities available in their communities. They might take the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at an artist’s studio, try out a dance class, learn a new language, take a heritage walking tour, express their own creativity through visual art, or participate in the variety of public events taking place around the province.
