The Lieutenant Governor's New Year's Day Levee is a tradition that began on January 1, 1884 when Lieutenant Governor Edgar Dewdney held the first New Year’s Day Levee in Saskatchewan. The Levee provides an opportunity for the public to exchange New Year’s greetings with the Vice-Regal couple and enjoy the magnificent surroundings of historic Government House.
EVRAZ Place has agreed to provide free parking at the Lewvan Drive entrance. A free shuttle service will be provided between the parking lot and Government House (located a short 5 minute drive away at 4607 Dewdney Avenue).
