During the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, happening February 12 - 28, 2010, Saskatchewan will have a prominent visual presence within the city of Vancouver, to say the least. The creation of the Saskatchewan Pavilion will be a key component of the global celebration taking place in Vancouver during the Games, and it will show Canada and the rest of the world exactly what Saskatchewan has to offer.
The Pavilion’s website, www.saskpavilion.ca, is designed to provide all sorts of information about what will be happening at the Pavilion during the Games, as well as bring us breaking news as it happens in Vancouver.
"We’ll be posting daily blog updates, video blogs, photos and news stories,” says Les Holmlund of Tourism Saskatchewan. www.saskpavilion.ca is where you can keep up to date, via our mobile site if you’re at the celebrations in Vancouver or on our website if you’re following along from home - wherever home may be."
Most recently, the Schedule of Events and Entertainment lineup were announced on the website.
The Saskatchewan Pavilion will encompass more than 20,500 square feet at Concord Place on the north shore of False Creek and feature a monumental, 6-storey video dome as the Saskatchewan Experience Centre. It will loom high above the expansive 7,500 square foot Entertainment Centre and present an unmistakable landmark in the downtown area.
With daily exposure to thousands of visitors, the Saskatchewan Pavilion will have the opportunity to speak to and entertain people from around the globe.
