February 2012 SaskSecrets
What a gorgeous winter is has been so far in Saskatchewan. The only problem? We haven’t received much snow in the southern part of the province. However, the central and northern regions have been lucky to get snow and milder than usual temperatures, which is the perfect combination for outdoor activities.
Recently, our travel blogger Becky spent some time in the Nipawin area where she did some downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice fishing, just to name a few. Her adventures, including videos and photos are all documented in Tourism Saskatchewan’s new blog called Saskatchewan Travel Tales.
This month we also feature some great events like SaskTel Jibfest and Saskatchewan Heritage Week, plus an exciting new addition to the Farmers’ Market in Saskatoon called the Agrium Kitchen.
The featured package includes cabin rentals at Katepwa Lake and discounted lift tickets to Mission Ridge Winter Park, and the Trivia question is for the avid anglers out there.
