Beat the Winter Blues… With a Blues Festival

A number of great Blues Festivals are held in the province this month. Read on to find a blues festival near you.

Annual Saskatoon Blues Festival, Saskatoon
February 23 – 26, 2012
"Celebrating a Decade of the Blues!” 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the Annual Saskatoon Blues Festival. Come celebrate with a mix of national and international artists such as Eddy Robertson & the Electric Blues Band, Tracy Nelson, Boogie Patrol, and many more. The week opens with a blues camp and ends with a Sunday jam session. Mid-Winter Blues Festival 2012, Regina 
February 23-26, 2012
Blues music will soon fill the Queen City! The Regina Delta Blues Association has pulled together a great line-up. Renowned local blues artist will hit the stage and get you bopping. Check out their website for more information and a schedule of events. 

Stir Crazy Blues Festival, Swift Current
February 23 – 25, 2012
If you’re going stir crazy you might as well be in good company. The Lyric Theatre in Swift Current will host three great blues bands during their blues festival – JP Soars and the Red Hots, Kirby Sewel Band, and Nigel Mack Blues Attack. Shake off the Winter Blues, Moose Jaw

Have a case of the winter blues? Head down to Casino Moose Jaw and shake those blues away. Enjoy an evening of dinner and entertainment all for a good cause. This event is a fundraiser for a proposed accessible playground. Check out their website for more information.
