It quickly developed into a major event and has long been recognized as Canada’s largest Tribute to Veterans Project. Previously named Saskatchewan’s #1 Outdoor Attraction and one of Canada’s Top 10 by Attractions Canada, the Canada Remembers International Air Show has had three nationally televised film documentaries shot onsite, and has received formal, personal messages of support from people such as actor, Tom Hanks, Col. Bob Morgan (the original pilot of the famed Memphis Belle) and Mayor Bloomberg of New York. ![]() In 2002, this project was the site of the first meeting for the families of Canada’s first four casualties of the war in Afghanistan. As a follow-up, they are inviting the families of all 118 (at the date of this publication) fallen soldiers in that war, to come to Saskatoon and allow us to pay a special tribute to their sons and daughters.
