Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp

Pelletier Guitar and Music CampThis is the perfect opportunity for music enthusiasts of all ages and levels to enhance their skills on instruments such as guitar, bass, piano, fiddle, mandolin and voice/harmony.

The 10th annual Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp provides the ideal setting to be inspired. Nestled on a hillside with panoramic views of brilliant canola fields and poplar forest, the camp is located 8km east of Birch Hills, just off Hwy #3.

Experienced and established instructors will be guiding you every step of the way. Country guitarist Freddie Pelletier (who played guitar for a number of years for singer-songwriter Ian Tyson), and his son Clint are the camp’s primary instructors and teach all three weeks.

There are three sessions to choose from: Week 1 - July 18-21; Week 2 - July 25-28; Week 3 – August 1-4. Small classes allow optimal time with your instructor and one-on-one lessons. Each day has four scheduled hours of group lessons with plenty of practice time.

Pelletier Guitar and Music CampThe last class each day features workshops with interesting topics like "How to Play in a Band", "Sing Out Loud and be Proud", and other creative sessions. Each evening includes concert jams where instructors and participants are invited to get up on stage to sing or play. These concerts take place the first three evenings of each week at 7:30pm and are open to the public at no charge.

Meals and trailer rentals are available for participants and their families or you can camp free of charge on site (electrical included). Package prices range from $225 - $650, and a bursary program is available for youth 21 years of age and under. For more information or to register, go to www.guitar-camp.com or call 306-749-2498.
