SaskTel Summer Invasion

July 6-8, 2012 - Wascana Lake, Regina

With short beautiful summers, Saskatchewan residents know how to pack loads of entertainment into hot days and nights. This leads to plenty of summer rituals and traditions: backyard BBQs, weekends at the lake, fishing trips and pick up games in the park.

It’s probably safe to add the SaskTel Summer Invasion to that list. The action-sport and music festival has really come into its own in the past few years.

From July 6-8, 2012, Wascana Lake in Regina will be taken over by thousands of enthusiasts out to watch professional wakeboarding, skateboarding and freestyle motocross demonstrations. Others will be on hand to simply enjoy the festival atmosphere, activities and food.

The festival grounds are located in front of the Legislative Building, and access to all daytime events is free to the general public. These include a ‘vendor village’ with food, clothing and jewellery among the offerings. There is also a SaskEnergy Family Zone with children’s play bouncers, face painting and games.

Remember, all of this is in addition to world-class wakeboarding, skateboarding and motocross.

After the daytime festival activities, there are concerts on Friday and Saturday night. This year, acts such as K’Naan, Buckcherry, Dragonette, Danny Fernandes and Jordan Cook will be featured. Concert-goers must purchase tickets.

No matter what you’re looking for, SaskTel Summer Invasion has something for you to enjoy.
