Humboldt the Runner Up for the Title of Kraft Hockeyville 2009

In February, Canadian’s voted and CBC unveiled the top five communities up for the title of Kraft Hockeyville 2009. Saskatchewan was proud to see that the city of Humboldt was one of the Top 5 finalists!

After a country-wide vote, Humboldt finished a close second to Terrace, BC. Terrace edged out Humboldt by just over 100,000 votes, having received over 1.9 million votes. The grand prize includes hosting an NHL® Pre-Season Game, a CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, plus $100,000 in arena upgrades from Kraft. 

As a runner up, Humboldt will receive $25,000 in arena upgrades from Kraft plus host a CBC Hockey Night in Canada broadcast from their community.
