Cross-country skiing is a great activity to continue well into April in many parts of the province. This is especially true in central and northern Saskatchewan in the boreal forest, where often the snow sticks around much longer than it does on the southern prairies. Provincial parks such as Duck Mountain, Moose Mountain, Greenwater Lake, the Battlefords, Good Spirit Lake and Lac La Ronge are good choices for cross-country skiers.
