In February, Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco, Chair of the Board of Wascana Centre Authority, unveiled the special anniversary logo (right) and revealed a few of the plans to commemorate the anniversary. "Wascana Centre Authority was created as, and still is, a unique partnership of three key stakeholders, namely the Province, the City and the University. In 2012 we are celebrating the vision of those partners," said Fiacco.
In addition, Wascana will host several guided tours throughout the year. These will be open to everyone and will include tours on the water using the "Wasca Ferry Boat", nature tours through the Habitat Conservation area, and special floral based tours through the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens. Scheduled dates and times will be announced later in the year. Visit www.wascana.ca regularly for more project announcements and details. |
