Saskatchewan Artists Wowing Ottawa
Prairie Scene is a two-week celebration of Saskatchewan and Manitoba artists being hosted by the National Arts Centre in Ottawa April 26- May 8.
Tourism Saskatchewan bloggers have been on the ground in Ottawa, posting blogs, video blogs and interviews to help promote the great artistic and talented people that this province produces. Check out Les’s visits with Colin James; Carrie Catherine; John Arcand, Karrnnel Sawitzky and Donny Parenteau; Jen Lane, Megan Lane and John Antoniuk.
Hailed as "the best scene so far" by Scene producer Heather Moore, Saskatchewan is still going strong at Prairie Scene in Ottawa. Our artists are experiencing success: for instance, Jen Lane and John Antoniuk have been approached by festival presenters about touring down in Australia.
The Green Screen, where you can have your photo taken with several Saskatchewan images, is also a hit. Our Northern Pike has posed in almost 200 photos while the website is averaging 210 hits a day.
Blogger Becky has just arrived to help cover week two of this amazing festival, which will include the Prairie Social (featuring The Sheepdogs), and the Riders on the Hill touch football game at 2:30pm on Parliament Hill. Follow along at prairiescene.sasktourism.com.
