When you vacation in Saskatchewan, you are contributing to a $1.67-billion industry that helps support 58,000 jobs in rural and urban Saskatchewan. One of every 11 workers in Saskatchewan is either partly or wholly supported by tourism. Tourism is a significant revenue source for hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, museums, art galleries, parks, outfitters, nightclubs, casinos, sporting events, shopping malls, festivals, craft shops, golf courses, and many other businesses. There are approximately 4,000 attractions, events, and tourism-related businesses in the province.
Communities throughout Saskatchewan will be celebrating the week with public barbecues, community tours, open houses, flag-raisings, contests, and promotions. For a complete list of events happening province-wide during Saskatchewan Tourism Week, click here. |
