Wanuskewin Heritage Park Remembrance Day Service & Round Dance, Saskatoon This event honours veterans and embraces the First Nations culture with a round dance. Globe Theatre Presents Anne of Green Gables - A Musical, Regina Written 100 years ago, Anne of Green Gables has transcended generations, language and culture, making it one of the most loved series across the world. Join the Globe Theatre as they share the story of Anne Shirley, a feisty red-haired orphan who uses her moxie and pluck to find happiness at Green Gables, a farm in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. Santa Claus Parade, Yorkton Enjoy a day of family fun in keeping with Yorkton's Christmas theme, "Every Child is a Gift." Parade begins at 7th Avenue at 5:30 p.m. and ends on Laurier Avenue. Saskatchewan Book Awards, Regina The 16th Annual Saskatchewan Book Awards Gala will be held at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. The Gala will feature guest speaker, Maria Campbell, author of the groundbreaking 1973 autobiography Halfbreed. First Nations Language Keepers Conference, Saskatoon This conference is an opportunity for teachers, language instructors and developers, local community educators, Elders, academics, linguists, and others to gather and learn from one another through informative workshops and plenary discussions focused on First Nations language revitalization in Saskatchewan. |
