a) 1/3. Half of Saskatchewan is actually covered by forest, mainly in the northern part of the province. One-third is farmland, mainly in the south, and one-eighth is fresh water, which is found throughout the province. Agriculture is still a very important industry in Saskatchewan, which is often celebrated at harvest and threshing day events in the autumn.
